2015 Alumni Awardee: William (Bill) Towne

Mr. Towne is a 1966 WSU graduate in Chemical Engineering and has an MBA from UCLA. He has ten years of experience in the manufacturing of consumer products. He then changed careers to Finance where he rose to the position of Executive–Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of three public companies. In addition to consumer products, he has also been in the textile and semi-conductor industries. After ten years working with a small investment bank, Mr. Towne is currently Managing Partner and CFO of GTL Partners, LLC. GTL Partners is developing three plants in Wyoming to convert Natural Gas to Diesel. The total investment is over $5 Billion. He was awarded the Outstanding Alumnus Award for 2015 for career accomplishments by the School of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering.
