Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The mission of the Voiland School of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering (VSCEB) Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee is to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion improvements across all levels of VSCEB. The DEI committee is committed to regularly surveying students, staff, and faculty to monitor and evaluate how the VSCEB climate is perceived internally. With the survey data, the committee will propose interventions to address issues identified by the survey and create conditions of equal opportunity by engaging faculty, staff and students in the classroom and the workplace. The committee can provide survey results to the ABET coordinators with suggested actions for improvement. The DEI committee will work with others in the Voiland College to advise leadership on policies that will help the College meet its Strategic Diversity and Inclusion Goals.
