The Gene and Linda Voiland School of
Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering
Undergraduate Advising within the Voiland School
Every undergraduate student is required to meet with an advisor every semester to have their advising hold released. There is a two-step process in Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering.
- Each student will meet with the undergraduate advisor who will help them understand University Common Requirements (UCORE), degree requirements of the curriculum, and determine which courses they are ready to take next based on meeting prerequisites.
- Each student will set up a meeting with their assigned faculty mentor each semester after meeting with their undergraduate advisor. The faculty mentor will discuss internship and/or job possibilities, answer questions about Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering and graduate school. After meeting with the faculty mentor, each student will return a signed faculty mentoring form to Maria to have their advising hold released.
