Bioengineering Electives

Students must take 6 credits of bioengineering electives and 12 credits of technical electives from the list below for the bioengineering degree. Refer to the WSU catalog for prerequisite information and check with the offering department about how frequently courses are offered or refer to the WSU Schedules of Classes home page. NOTE: BIO_ENG courses are offered ONLY ONCE each school year. Please plan your class schedule accordingly.

Bioengineering Elective Policy

  1. Bioengineering electives: 6 elective credits must have a BIO_ENG prefix, selected from List 1 below (Bioengineering electives) below (does not include BIO_ENG 488, BIO_ENG 495 or BIO_ENG 499).
  2. Technical electives: 12 credits of electives may be either BIO_ENG courses from List 1 (Bioengineering electives), or other relevant engineering or science courses from List 2 (In the Pre-med option, technical electives are the required pre-medical courses).
