December 2015 – Junming Sun and Colin Smith’s patent (Renewable olefins from a mixture of acetic acid and propionic acid) in conjunction with our collaborators at Archer Daniels Midland Company was granted by the US Patent Office.

November 2014 – Our group’s work on a new Pd/Fe catalyst for hydrodeoxygenation reactions for biofuel applications caught the attention of multiple press releases this fall. Yongchun Hong, Helen Zhang, and Junming Sun from our group collaborated with Jean Sabin McEwen’s computational group for this work.
